Local Fashion Designer And Artist Go “Under Cover” During Fashion Week

Toronto-based Dutch Blonde will unveil its fall/winter collection in a most unique, artistic setting

Toronto, April 1st, 2010 – Designer Camille Prins of Dutch Blonde and artist Beckie Di Leo celebrate their collections “Under Cover” and “POPular” with a cosmopolitan collaboration that infuses fashion, art and music into a stylish and artistic setting.
“My fall/winter 2010 collection unmasks the inner Bond girl in the metropolitan woman,” says Prins, a Project Runway Canada Season 2 contestant. “Models will reveal Under Cover fashions while guests peruse the fabulous mixed media fashion illustrations on exhibit.”

Toronto artist Beckie Di Leo’s work highlights fashion and jewelry collections of local designers including Dutch Blonde, Foxy Originals, Jenny Bird and Mackage. Beckie also features a select group of Toronto’s style icons as muses in her series.

The event, aptly named “Blo UP: A Pop Explosion of Fashion. Art. Music.” will be held at the new Blo Blow Dry Bar in the cosmopolitan King Street West neighborhood. Musical guests will include DJ Nik Nik and a performance by Sydney's Electro Pop artist, Kyla Frank.
